Star Atlas
Star Atlas is a Triple-A (AAA) Play-To-Earn metaverse game.
Also known as the pioneer of “Play-To-Earn” games, Axie Infinity was the first to successfully incorporate blockchain and NFT technologies into its game mechanics.
Ultimately, the goal is to create a single app that players can use to interact throughout the world of Axie Infinity.
The player creates a Ronin wallet and purchases Axies.
How to start playing: Create a profile and download the game.
Axie Infinity currently has two tokens directly integrated into the game as rewards, namely SLP (Smooth Love Potion) and AXS (Axie Infinity Shard). The Ronin Network also includes RON (Ronin Token), which cannot be obtained in-game.
SLP token:
This token is intended especially for breeding Axies. By using a certain amount of SLP, a new Axie can be created. It is possible to trade it on almost all centralized and decentralized exchanges. Within the Ronin network, the token can also be used for liquidity farms – create a liquidity pair with WETH (wrapped ether) and lock the resulting SLP tokens (liquidity pair) for profit in RON. SLP does not have a maximum token supply in circulation. Their quantity is regulated through the burning mechanism. All SLP tokens used to spawn Axies are burned. To avoid token hyperinflation, each player is limited to a daily amount of energy. This fact determines how many matches a participant can receive a reward for. It depends on the amount of Axies held. The distribution is as follows:
Each arena match costs the player 1 energy. The player can play even after running out of energy, but he or she will no longer be rewarded in the form of SLP tokens.
AXS token:
This is the Axie Infinity ecosystem governance token. Players can earn it in-game if they rank high on the leaderboard in the current season. At the same time, it is available on almost all centralized and decentralized exchanges. AXS has a maximum token supply in circulation of 270,000,000. Within the Ronin network, the investor has the option to stake independently (AXS profit). Another option is the so-called liquid farm. AXS staking also works outside the Ronin network, specifically on the Binance exchange. The main difference is that Binance requires different token lock-in times. The higher the lock-in period, the higher the profit Binance provides. There is also a maximum AXS limit that can be locked into staking at different lock-in times. On the Ronin network, the gain is constant, and no lock-in time is required. Tokens from staking can be withdrawn every 24 hours.
In further game expansions and improvements, the implementation of new profit options and AXS regulation is planned.
Ronin token:
This is not directly tied to the game but is used for Ronin network fees. It is also the main reward form in the AXS ecosystem liquidity farms.
Axie is the type of game that rewards players for the time and effort they put into the game and into the development of the game ecosystem.
Game assets are 100% player contributions.
Developers focus on growing the in-game and player economy.
They call it a “nation with a real economy”.
Making a real financial profit from the game is possible thanks to the tokenization of game resources and items. This means they can be sold to anyone, anywhere on open peer-to-peer markets.
Much of the profits arise from purchased land.

“Axie is already a well-known game, and some of its elements have already been used in the past. The game characters resemble Pokémon. In 2020, you could buy game parcels for a few tens of USD, and in 2021 you could sell them for thousands or millions of USD. The game gained popularity mainly thanks to players in the Philippines, who were looking for a source of extra income during the pandemic. Recently, interest in Axie has been declining, even though developers are still trying to come up with new activities. With increasing competition, their task will not be easy. However, their work confirms that a strong team is working on the Axie project, which has already achieved several successes.”
The player needs to have a team of at least three Axies. Battles take place in two game modes, against different inhabitants of the world of Lunacia or against other players. Axies are divided into different classes that interact with each other.
Team setup is therefore very important.
The Axies’ abilities are represented by cards with different attributes. The most important thing is the damage rate, shield amount and the card text which determines its special property.
The choice of cards also determines the body part that the Axie can use. Individual classes can then use body parts intended for another category in exchange for the purebred Axie benefits. Purebred Axies have specific advantages for their class (for example, a plant Axie with plant body parts has higher hit points, and a bird Axie with bird body parts has higher speed).
The player receives three energy points and six random cards at the game start. In subsequent rounds, he or she always receives two energy points and three random cards, distributed among the living Axies. Each round, both participants use their cards, and afterwards the used abilities are evaluated.
Combat order is determined by the Axies’ speed. The player can transfer leftover energy to the next round. A maximum of 10 points can be saved. The game is over when one of the players destroys the opponent’s Axies and at the same time keeps at least one of his or her Axies alive.
