About the game

Player Requirements

Tokennomics

The game token is $SOUL on the Phantasma blockchain:

  • $SOUL can be used to buy in-game NFT from presales on the Blood Rune website
  • Players can acquire legendary heroes by purchasing tokens
  • Alternative, they can just support the game because of the DAO (decentralized economy)

The DAO will allow players to participate directly in the game administration. Blood Rune offers a special Founder’s Edition of tokens (common, rare, epic, legendary, and mythic founder) that will bring players a number of bonuses and cheaper purchases of legendary heroes.

Monetization

Players can earn profit:

  • By trading NFT cards in the marketplace
  • From rewards for wins and in-game achievements

Analytic Opinion

“Blood Rune is a very well-designed card game that will make you think and strategize, but is also one in which you can play leisurely and just enjoy the fights. Unfortunately, the very small community is not particularly active. The game is still in development, and a classic board game is also being created and prepared, and this should see the light of day before the digital one.”

In Blood Rune, 2 to 8 players in the roles of heroes embark on an adventure determined by the game or led by the game master. The game is easy to learn and doesn’t take long. It can be learned in 15 minutes, and a typical session can take up to 60 minutes.

The collectible cards reflect the real-world economy, supported by fans around the world. The basic set includes everything you need to play the game, and can be expanded by purchasing card sets in five versions - Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythic.

Cards:

Each card has a name.

The character’s card states:

  • What their goal is (a positive trait, e.g. courage - the goal is to test the player’s merit)
  • What the character’s curse is (a negative trait, e.g. arrogance)
  • Blood Rune: use of the card
  • Attributes (listed in color) - mind, spirit, heart, body

Attributes represent tokens. A hero who loses all their attribute tokens will be defeated.

The number of cards in the game is finite. The presale of cards has ended, but NFT for sale can be found on GhostMarket. NFT are minted under the BRC (Blood Rune Coin) designation. Future NFT sales will be on the Blood Rune website.

There are 3 ways to play:

  • Astral Duel: a tactical tournament in which 2 to 7 players fight until one winner emerges
  • Alliance: 2 to 7 players join forces and fight against evil, a force controlled by the game
  • Role-playing: 2 to 7 players play as characters in an ongoing epic led by one player in the role of game master

There are limit quantities of legendary cards and their heroes. They will be available in expansion packs for USD 150. A card’s rating can be found at the bottom of the card (up to 4 stars). Each hero possesses a unique Blood Rune that gives them an advantage in combat. Heroes receive bonuses based on their rank which, however, does not determine the outcome of the battle.
