“I see this game very similar to Pokémon in the way that the characters are basically the same. They are anime characters that have the ability to evolve into better and bigger creatures. I would not say that they are copying exactly what Pokémon did, but they do share some similarities that are very hard to bypass.

The team seems to have a very clear idea on what they are trying to achieve with multiple game modes to attract all types of players with different gaming preferences. However, there are still some things that cannot go unnoticed. For instance, the obvious requirement of an NFT to start playing is always a bummer to see since that puts up an instant barrier between potential players and the game. Also, I would say that the tokenomics lacks some sort of details as the governance token is very vaguely described.

Overall, I would let the game develops in the next few months to see how it turns out.”

The game of Devomon takes place many years ago when The Moon of Callisto was only an abandoned land until various creatures – called Evomon – of Fire, Wind, Water, Earth, Dark, and Holy clashed on its surface. A battle for dominance started, but none of them was able to claim victory over the territory. Due to the epic battles, 5 new continents were formed to offer new opportunities for the Evomons to explore and conquer.

Players start their journey on an island, where they can explore, expand, and solve mysteries. Also, players can participate in PvP turn-based battles against others and PvE tasks that allow their Evomon to gain experience and level up.

NFT characters are the core of the gameplay in the Devomon world, and players must have an NFT character to begin. There are 6 types of NFT Evomons that players can collect, each of which has their own set of abilities and skills. The types are Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Dark, and Holy. These NFT Evomons can be upgraded and evolved by gaining experience through playing.

Devomon not only offers the possibility to take on battles, but also a more relax game mode in a trading card game. Players have to score more points than their rival to win the match. The game is played in three different locations, of which each of those may have an impact on the cards, like enhanced power, negative effects, and location-specific cards, among others.

Devoland is a place where players can purchase a land to make it their own and start their farm. They can upgrade it to have better chances of obtaining rare items, that would allow them to progress in the game and unlock higher levels.

Moreover, players can immerse themselves in the virtual town called EvoverseCity, where they can create their own avatar and connect with other users. This space offers the possibility to shop and rent as well as advertise.
