About the game

Player Requirements

Players can play for free to try out the game mechanics. After a game token is listed and the marketplace is made available, players will have access to the PvP section where they can earn real money.

Players will need to purchase HoneyCoin tokens to engage in PvP.

Any gaming device with an Internet connection is sufficient to play the game, but players are required to create an account on the official website before playing.

Tokennomics

NFT

In-game NFTs include bees, bears, and many other items. Each player’s assets will be automatically made available in the marketplace and the in-game store.

After the official release, “match3” boosters will be added to the game and the functionality of farms will be expanded. A laboratory and marketplace for NFT characters with unique game properties will be introduced. The “match3” PvE mode will include a story part and many different tasks.

How to earn in the game

The game currently offers two ways to earn. First, you can engage in PvP battles and rob your opponents of tokens, but at the risk of losing your own. The second option will be farming and expanding your apiaries and bees. Over time, players can acquire a solid base of bees that will generate HoneyCoin tokens for them. You will need to log on to the game regularly and collect the accumulated tokens in the apiaries.

Tokenomics

There are two kinds of tokens in HoneyWood, however neither is a smart contract token. Their listing in the top 20 international stock exchanges is planned for Q3 and Q4 2022.

Staking details will be published after both game tokens are listed.

Analytic Opinion

“This is a very interesting project with an original idea. The game combines “match3” and farming mechanisms. Players will definitely not be bored. It is still in its early stages, so it is hard to judge what the final game will be like. However, based on the available information, it looks like a sophisticated concept in which money can be earned (but probably not much).

The advantage is that everyone can try the game in the form of Free-2-Play and only later decide whether to invest in the game.

The graphics look very nice and the characters in the game look like they are from a fairy tale.

Not a single token has been listed yet, however the available tokenomics look promising.

My prediction is that the game will be very popular among casual players who do not want to spend all day playing yet still want to try to get some income.”

The game combines two of the most popular game mechanics of casual games, namely “match3” (like Candy Crush Saga) and farming (tending apiaries and planting trees).

Story

Once upon a time, a couple of hard-working bears found themselves in an unexplored and barren land. The bears immediately set to work planting trees, building apiaries, and even breeding bees. Over time, the previously abandoned land turned into a diverse landscape, full of natural beauty. The biosystem that the bears and bees had created together began producing sweet and delicious honey. The bears gave this magical land an appropriate name that has survived to this day – HoneyWood.

Gameplay

HoneyWood is a game in which players can play and earn. You can look forward to building your farm, breeding bees and fighting with others in a 7×7 “match3” arena.

The game runs on Free-2-Play mechanics, enabling it to be included in the Play-And-Earn games section, rather than just Play-2-Earn.

Match3

At the official game release, only one game mechanic will be available – “match3”. Farming will be added to the game over time.

It includes PvP and PvE modes
In the PvE mode, players go against bots to improve their gaming skills and learn the game mechanics. This mode is especially suitable for new players or those without enough tokens to play PvP.

The PvP mode pits players (bears) against each other in a battle for tokens. The winner takes all in this mode. The PvP mode will only be available for players who purchase tokens, which they will then be able to use in battles. A battle will have four rounds, meaning each player will make two moves.

The 7×7 arena is full of different tokens with different values. Players get points for connecting tokens based on their rarity.

In addition, by playing the PvP mode, bears (players) can improve their rank, which is a value indicating a bear’s success in PvP battles. When entering the game, the player is assigned an initial rank of 200, which is adjusted based on the outcome of PvP battles:
+15 for a win, +5 for a draw, -5 for a loss.

The game tries to put players with similar experience against each other, so when entering the PvP mode, players will only fight bears of a similar rank. If no equal opponent is found, the search range is automatically expanded.

Farming

Farming will not appear until later but will allow players to buy bees and apiaries from the in-game marketplace. They will then place the apiaries on their property and regularly collect honey, generating HoneyCoin tokens.

However, the capacity of apiaries is limited, so players will have to purchase both apiaries and bees to get as many HoneyCoins as possible. When players reach the capacity of their territory and cannot place any more apiaries, they can expand their land in the marketplace and thus continue to increase their income.

Players must be careful to have enough oxygen on their land. A fall in oxygen levels will lead to a significant decrease in honey production. Extremely low oxygen levels can cause bees to die. Players will be able to influence this by purchasing trees that generate oxygen. As a player’s territory expands, more and more trees will be needed to keep the bees healthy, and the trick is to find the ideal ratio between trees and apiaries, as they occupy the same amount of territory.

Marketplace

The game comes with a marketplace in which players can purchase game items using HoneyCoin tokens. These are: bees, apiaries, tree seeds, decorations, and new land. From time to time, there will also be limited special items in the marketplace that can only be purchased using the second game token – CONEs.

The marketplace is a separate section in HoneyWood. Players can buy and trade their NFTs (bees / apiaries / decorations) with each other. All game items are automatically synced with the marketplace. The decentralization of the system allows NFT item trading without players having to leave the game. This section will be added to the game after the listing of the HoneyCoin token.
