“This game is exciting and very well made. The story is complete and original, with many original elements (design, settings, characters). For this reason, it’s very different from other games of the same genre. It’s still under development, but the idea looks fantastic. This game could have a perfect future if the team continues working as it has until now.
The negative part is that to advance, players have to invest money to buy items in the marketplace. Without it, playability is very limited.
Also, many ideas are not yet implemented because it’s in an early development phase. But if development keeps moving forward, this will be a game that must be tried out.”
Reign of Terror is a tactical turn-based RPG in a dark, dystopian alternate earth with a stratified society where equality doesn’t exist.
The players must make a competitive squad of agents with different abilities. There is an option to select a default squad that will automatically be chosen when starting PvP or PvE missions. There are some rules about these agents:
Each agent has statistics according to their role. It’s like their DNA.
Stats of agents:
The game is designed to allow players to perform quick tasks before deciding to go further into the game. The player journey is essential to enable progression in a balanced manner between learning the game and encountering new content.
There are three stages in the gameplay progression:
Missions:
Players can obtain certain parts, items, and in-game currencies to advance in different kinds of missions.
Single-Player Missions:
Players can unlock the next mission by clearing each one with at least one star out of three. But the more stars they get, the more experience and rewards they can earn.
Reign of Terror: Awakening: this game mode is divided into two different gameplay.
Reign of Terror: Uprising: this is an auto-battler mode in which players send their NFT agents on a variety of missions (recon, chapter, and side missions).
There are other kinds of missions, like seasonal missions (like Christmas) or special events. There are also player achievements with micro rewards to help players progress over the game's lifetime.
Multiplayer Missions (PvP):
Challenging Players: their ranking is determined by a combination of True Rank and ELO formulas
Asynchronous Gameplay: a turn-based multiplayer gameplay between two or more players that can check in and play their turn when convenient.
Ranked Play: the objective is to destroy each other's base within a certain number of turns. Players will go up the ranked ladder. Also, they will earn higher XP and Imperial Pass rewards in Ranked matches than they would in Unranked
Unranked Play: similar to Ranked except the rewards are lower
Player-Created PvP Games with Option for Wager: players can adjust the requirements to play and match with other players:
Both sides can wager an NFT, credits, or cores as the prize for the winner.
The players can own land plots that provide resources needed in the game to produce items and materials required in Guild and Alliance weapon and defense systems. Land plots contain energy points determining the number of facilities they can construct in their building. All buildings require a Building Blueprint before they can be built. These Blueprints are available in the NFT Marketplaces of the game.
There are different types of facilities that the player can construct:
Defensive facilities: close-in weapon systems, shield generators, nanite repair systems, minefield systems, wall systems, and fortified bunkers
Production facilities: weapons factories, armor factories, manufacturing factories, vehicle garages, recyclers, air resource extractors, waste resource extractors, and thermal generator
Guild facilities: guild satellite, guild hall, guild vault, and guild lab
Alliance facilities: alliance satellite, alliance HQ, alliance vault, and alliance lab
Misc facilities: holographic projection and cantina
The land system consists of two types of zones:
Imperial Pass:
The Imperial pass can level up through in-game activities and NFT marketplace transactions. It’s a season pass that is approximately three months long and averages ten levels. Each level unlocks NFTs, rewards, and sometimes limited access to special missions.
