Axie Champions Beta to Launch in July
Bali Games, the South Korean company behind the successful mobile puzzle game Anipang, is preparing to launch a beta version of Axie Champions on the Ronin blockchain this July.
Axie Champions is a puzzle game that combines match-3 gameplay, PVP, and puzzle mode, all on the Ronin blockchain Layer 2 chain from Sky Mavis. This Web 3.0 game is designed for casual players and is set in the Axie Infinity universe. The game is currently in Alpha, but the developers are planning a beta launch this July.
According to a statement from the company, the beta will be available for Axie holders and community members to test the game and give feedback to the developers so they can earn various rewards.
Since the game is set in the same universe as Axie Infinity, players will be treated to similar monsters. Like in Axie Infinity, players must form teams of three monsters to participate in PVP battles.
Bali Games is one of the first companies to develop a game on the Ronin network. Another game being developed on the network is Directive Games' action shooter, The Machines Arena, which is currently in closed beta testing.
Blockchain Ronin is a new EVM network that offers developers to create games with a player-driven economy, and they are currently looking for companies to build on their network.
