NFT Air Force 1 Sneakers Will be Available as Physical Versions
Many prestigious brands use NFT technology to increase their popularity and profits. Nike is a leader in this field and has released many NFT items.
Nike has plans to release a physical version of their NFT Air Force 1 sneaker. The NFTs were designed by RTKFT, an art studio with which Nike has been working since 2021, and the NFT collection was brought to life by veteran digital artist, Takashi Murakami. Murakami has managed to create many interesting concepts for these sneakers, and Nike is now looking to make the concept available as a series of physical versions that can be purchased by all NFT Air Force 1 owners.
What do you need to do to get the Nike Air Force 1 sneakers?
There will be a Forging event on the RTFKT website from April 24 to May 8, during which NFT holders will be able to place orders for physical versions of the sneakers. The sneakers will then ship in the last quarter of the year.
The RTFKT website encourages users to "Step into the future with RTFKT and Nike's Air Force 1 collection: limited editions featuring designs by Takashi Murakami. Get the NFT to physically get your sneakers on 4/24/23."
So, anyone interested in a physical version of these sneakers must first purchase tokens in the form of NFTs from the Air Force 1 collection. The website goes on to explain:
"The RTFKT x Nike Air Force 1 digital collectibles have already been minted at a certain price, so their holders will only have to pay gas fees during the Forging event. However, if you do not currently own a digital collectible from the aforementioned OpenSea Pre-Forge collection, you will need to purchase a pair on OpenSea or another secondary market to be eligible for the Forging event."
The sneakers, which will be physically created, can already be seen on the website. There will be ten variants: Genesis, Murakami Drip, Human, Robot, Demon, Angel, Reptile, Undead, Murakami DNA and Alien.
