News From the World of Splinterlands

Through a YouTube podcast, the developers of Spinterlands regularly update us on new and improved features they are adding to the game.

Tower Defence

This midcore RPG, called Soulkeep, was created by developer David from Double Coconut. The aim of the game is to use towers to save souls from the clutches of the evil queen and their helpers. Soulkeep is still in closed beta testing for players who have purchased at least 500 packs and offers only 12 levels. The game will be made available to everyone in May.

Lands

Starting April 4, players can explore their lands and get detailed information about them thanks to a new feature. However, the minimum rarity guarantee only applies when exploring 100 lands at once in a single transaction. More information about plots is available in the whitepaper.

Other improvements

There have been several quality-of-life improvements for guilds and the introduction of a guild mailbox screen. In addition, a number of issues with managing guild invitations and requests have been fixed.  The mailbox will be used to manage guild applications for now, but there are plans to expand it to include more notifications in the future. Finally, the team has announced that more guild buildings will be added.

General updates

The expiration of items after 30 days of inactivity has been updated, in a way that properly updates the collection strength when cards are returned from the market. The "market expiration" feature has been enabled again.

The team has also fixed an issue that would occasionally incorrectly trigger 2nd Bloodlust if a monster killed by Bloodlust was resurrected, then died again from poison or earthquake damage.

Another fix has been implemented to player power collection, where there were discrepancies between owned, leased, and delegated cards versus what was listed in players’ information.

The rewards table has been corrected so that the percentages match the table from the previous announcement here.

What not to miss

The Splinterlands team has launched a new YouTube support channel.

Splinterland has partnered with the mobile Web 3.0 browser, Mises Browser. Mises Browser provides quick access to Splinterlands dApps and adds them to the security whitelist to protect users from dangerous phishing sites.
