News from Fight of the Ages

There is some major news regarding the game, including a new team advisor, a lawsuit against ANYPAD, and new daily quests.

FOTA is a MOBA  fantasy game in which players fight to rule over empires. They use their NFT heroes to fight, and can upgrade them, use them to complete in-game quests,  and get FOTA tokens and experience points as a reward.

Legal action against ANYPAD

FOTA  plans to take legal action against ANYPAD for defamation. FOTA reworked their tokemonics, and this was not popular with ANYPAD (the community that invested  in the company). ANYPAD asked for the return of USD 75,000 collected during the  launchpad. It released a statement on its official Telegram accusing FOTA of  being non-communicative regarding fundamental changes in the tokenomics. The  FOTA team was also accused failing to react, and of not taking any  responsibility.

FOTA  initially took 20 days to accept the refund request. After these 20 days, the  ANYPAD team was asked to wait another 30 days. According to ANYPAD, the FOTA  team did not respond when repeatedly recently asked for an update, and according  to ANYPAD this is “an unprofessional  approach for an AAA game”. ANYPAD’s statement continued: “When we mentioned taking the necessary  action against them, they resorted to accusing us and claiming that we had  signed a SAFT (Simple Agreement for Future Tokens), although there was no  mention of a refund in the SAFT. Yes, after 70 days when we agreed to make  the refund, they resorted to accusations.” ANYPAD also claimed that the  FOTA team kept them waiting with the promised refunds, and did not allow  their investors to claim the tokens, thus leaving the investors in an even  worse situation.

FOTA  denied the allegations, and said it would take legal action against ANYPAD.  The CEO’s statement said, among other things, that the company reserves the  right to reject any potential refund requests without any liability. The  statement also added that the company has the right to make any changes in the  tokemonics, and the decision was made due to the current market conditions.

Although  there was heated argument and recriminations between the two parties, recent  announcements and retweets from ANYPAD social media channels show that the  two parties have come to an agreement and left the misunderstandings behind.  FOTA agreed to refund the money, and ANYPAD retweets FOTA news and updates.  You can read the full statement here.

New advisor

FOTA  recently welcomed a new strategic advisor, James Ross Croyle, to the team.  This experienced leader has more than 20 years of experience in advising  start-ups. He is also involved in managing alliances and scaling multinational  business and channel strategies to achieve explosive growth. As a proponent of  the Play-2-Earn gaming trend spreading around the world, James is a key  member of the advisor team. He is also regional partner development manager at  Microsoft and an advisor to many other renowned companies. James is a vital  benefit to FOTA’s development journey.

Daily missions

In  its first major update, the company introduced a new “Daily Quest” that  offers players new ways to earn tokens. The current Daily Quest requires  players to have won three PvE matches for a reward of USDF 3. After  completing this mission, it becomes available again after 24 hours.
