PUMA Comes to Market with NFT
PUMA, a company focused mainly on sportswear, enters the market with NFT. As part of the brand’s 75th anniversary, the company has launched a digital transformation and a Profile Pic NFT (PFP) collection featuring its iconic "Super PUMA" mascot.
The NFT Super PUMA collection features the brand’s mascot in various poses and adventures, inspired by the 1970s comic of the same name and some of PUMA’s most memorable sporting moments over the past 75 years.
Fans now have a unique opportunity to own a piece of the brand’s history and bring a beloved character to life in a modern way. PUMA encourages its fans to use their purchased NFTs as profile pictures on social media, a popular trend in the Web 3.0 community.
These NFTs are part of PUMA’s Nitro collection. The company is using the Nitro Collection NFT project as a platform to introduce new modern footwear. The collection was launched last September on the OpenSea platform and focused on digital fashion and modern shoe design. With this step, PUMA confirms its commitment to Web 3.0 and the metaverse.
All NFT Nitro Collection holders will have exclusive access to the NFT PFP, with the number of NFTs received from this collection dependent on the amount of NFT Nitro Collection held. The NFT Super PUMA contains 10,000 units, of which 4,000 units are ready for Airdrops to be received by Nitro Collection holders, 2,000 units are for the 10KTF market community, and 4,000 units will be released to the general public, more specifically to those on the waiting list.
The collection’s launch will take place at the 10KTF marketplace
NFT Super PUMA is partnering with the collection on the 10KTF digital marketplace, making PUMA the first-ever traditional brand to launch on the marketplace. Launched in September 2021, 10KTF is a digital marketplace that offers unique wearables in the Metaverse to holders of the best NFT projects. Through this collaboration, NFT holders can to use digital objects on the platform to complete artwork selected by the parent NFT. Super PUMA NFT holders will have the same opportunity, plus they will be able to participate in various 10KTF missions.
