Splinterlands has contributed to the development of KoinosPRO, which is a software that allows developers to create dApps without entry barriers. On their Twitter account, KoinosGroup recently announced the closure of a seed round that raised $500k, thanking Splinterlands and BlockchainFF for their contributions.
Tower Defense
The closed beta should be available in a couple of weeks, and players are in for a lot of fun. The beta will offer players all the major towers, spells, battle maps and devils in a wide variety of levels, with each level presenting a new challenge. Special effects, hand-crafted animations and impressive music - including sound effects, make the game feel very lifelike. The developers of Splinterlands want to attract new players and, based on their feedback, they will analyze all the suggestions after the beta and try to improve the game as much as possible.
Reward Cards
There are 43 new Chaos Legion cards coming out, which cannot be sold, transferred, borrowed or burned until they have all been released. On January 31, the old cards were replaced with new cards in loot chests. When using a legendary or alchemical potion, it is likely that one chest will contain many rare and gold cards.
Change of Rules in Battles
As of January 24, it is now possible to play three sets of rules at once in gold and higher leagues, as well as in tournaments and guild brawls. With a few exceptions, it is possible to combine rulesets without limiting them to primary and secondary. You can combine Back to Basics, Equal Opportunity and Unprotected Battles, as well as two newly added rulesets, Going the Distance and Wands Out, which restrict monsters to shooting or magic. This update makes almost every card useful in certain situations, which is what makes battles so fun and fast-paced.

This figure showed an increase of 100.77% from the previous year, with over one million transactions being made in the game every month in 2022. However, in August, when the change in the economy and reward system took place, the game saw a drop in activity. Nevertheless, the game has achieved some important milestones over the past year, such as partnering with EMP Money and launching its EMP token, which was issued on the Huobi exchange.
